We are looking for an experienced and passionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the diagnosis and treatment of animals, as well as knowledge of the latest medical techniques and technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality care to animals, conducting medical examinations, administering vaccinations, and providing advice to pet owners. We are looking for someone who is compassionate and has a strong commitment to animal welfare.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat animal diseases and injuries.
Prescribe medications and treatments for animals.
Perform surgery on animals.
Provide preventive care for animals.
Advise owners on proper nutrition and care for their pets.
Educate pet owners on animal health issues.
Keep accurate records of animal treatments and medical histories.

Requisitos
Veterinary Degree: A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.
Licensure: A valid veterinary license to practice in Puerto Rico. This often involves passing the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) and meeting any additional state-specific requirements.
Experience: Relevant experience in veterinary medicine, which may include clinical experience and prior work as a relief veterinarian or in similar roles.
Insurance: Professional liability insurance to cover potential claims related to veterinary practice.
Knowledge of Local Regulations: Familiarity with Puerto Rico’s specific veterinary regulations, including any animal welfare laws and import/export regulations for animals.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners, clinic staff, and other veterinarians.
Emergency Skills: Ability to handle emergency cases and make quick, informed decisions.
Flexibility: Availability to work varying shifts and adapt to different clinic environments and practices.
Cultural Competence: Understanding and respect for the local culture and languages (Spanish and English) to effectively communicate with clients and staff.
Continuing Education: Commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education and professional development.
Professional References: Positive references from previous employers or colleagues to validate your experience and professionalism.
Health and Safety Compliance: Compliance with health and safety protocols, including vaccinations and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
